Midea Ducted Air Conditioning Melbourne

A Midea ducted reverse cycle system heats and cools the whole home from a concealed indoor unit in the roof or ceiling, with air delivered to each room through ducts and discreet outlets. EZYAIR designs, supplies and installs Midea ducted air conditioning across Melbourne on request.

Is Midea ducted air conditioning right for your home?

Ducted air conditioning suits Melbourne homes that want even, quiet comfort in every room, with only grilles visible inside. It needs space for the indoor unit and ductwork, and a location for the outdoor unit. If you only need to condition a few rooms, a Midea multi split system or Midea split system may suit better.

Current Midea ducted ranges

The following ducted ranges are listed on Midea Australia's ducted systems page (mdhome.com.au) at the time of writing (October 2026). EZYAIR supplies and installs reverse cycle ducted systems up to 25kW.

EZYAIR is an independent air conditioning installer. We supply and install the Midea systems below on request; availability of individual models is confirmed at quote stage. Product information on this page is copied from the product pages and brochures on Midea HVAC & Energy Australia's official website (mdhome.com.au), with links to each official product page and brochure. Figures are as published by the manufacturer (dash characters in ranges are shown as hyphens). Where a figure is not published it is shown as a hyphen or not shown. Midea slim ducted and bulkhead options

Midea's ducted pages do not list a separate bulkhead range, but two Midea options suit concealed installations. The 7.0kW, 9.0kW and 10.5kW Ducted Series - RAC models are labelled Slim Design (specifications above), and Midea's multi split brochure says its ducted indoor unit "operates quietly, hidden within bulkheads or ceiling cavities". See our Midea multi split page for the multi split range.

Bulkhead units are concealed in a bulkhead or ceiling space and deliver air to one or two rooms through short duct runs. See our bulkhead air conditioner installation page for how we plan and install them in Melbourne homes.

How we install a Midea ducted system in Melbourne

  1. Enquiry and assessment. We discuss the rooms you want to heat and cool, then assess the home, including room sizes, insulation, windows and orientation, and where the indoor and outdoor units can go.
  2. Recommendation and written quote. We recommend a Midea ducted range and capacity that suits the home and explain the options before you commit.
  3. Installation. Our team installs the indoor and outdoor units, runs the refrigerant pipework and condensate drain, and completes the electrical connection as required by Victorian regulations.
  4. Commissioning and handover. We test heating and cooling operation, set up the controller and show you how to use the system and look after the filters.
  5. Ongoing service. Regular maintenance keeps the system running efficiently. See our maintenance services.

Manufacturer warranty

Midea's published Air Conditioning Warranty Conditions list "five (5) years on split wall mounted systems, split ducted systems, cassette systems, standard multi head systems" and also state: "This warranty is limited to the products with an output capacity of below 18 kW." Other periods, conditions and exclusions, including shorter periods for business use, are set out in the Midea Air Conditioning Warranty Conditions (PDF) on the Midea warranty page. Ask us how the conditions apply to the system in your quote.
