What We Do

EZYAIR designs, supplies, installs and maintains reverse cycle air conditioning for Melbourne homes, builders and commercial sites. From a single-room split system to multi-split, bulkhead, ducted reverse cycle, VRF and larger systems over 25 kW, we help you get comfortable heating and cooling without the jargon.

Since 2007 we have specialised in fully electric reverse cycle upgrades. As a Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) accredited provider (A2261), we also help eligible Victorian properties claim rebates and discounts when replacing older heating and cooling with a more efficient reverse cycle system. Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) in Melbourne

Victorian Energy Upgrades is the state program that rewards energy-efficient upgrades. When you replace an older heater or air conditioner with an eligible reverse cycle system, an accredited provider can generate Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) and pass the value on as a discount off your installation price.

EZYAIR is registered with the Essential Services Commission as a VEU accredited provider (A2261). That means we handle eligibility checks and the paperwork for you, from the pre-install assessment through to the post-install requirements, so you can focus on choosing the right Melbourne air conditioning system.

Typical upgrades we see include:

  • Replacing gas ducted heating with ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling
  • Replacing a gas space heater with reverse cycle split or multi-split systems
  • Upgrading an older split system to a higher-efficiency reverse cycle unit
  • Larger home and light-commercial reverse cycle upgrades where the program rules allow

Every household in Victoria can be considered for the program. There are no income tests. Your property generally needs to be more than two years old, and you need to be upgrading an existing heating or cooling system to a more efficient one. Rebate amounts vary by what you remove and what you install. We confirm eligibility and the discount on your quote. For current examples and more detail, see our Victorian Energy Upgrades page, or ask us to check your property.

Melbourne air conditioning we supply and install

Our core offer is reverse cycle refrigerated air conditioning for domestic and commercial applications across greater Melbourne:

Family dinner in a climate-controlled Melbourne home
Young family relaxing in a comfortable Melbourne apartment
Multi-split outdoor setups and ducted unit connections from real EZYAIR Melbourne jobs.

Single head split systems

One indoor wall unit paired with one outdoor unit. Ideal for a living room, bedroom or home office when you want efficient heating and cooling in a single space. Explore split system installation in Melbourne, or compare brands such as Daikin, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi Electric.

Multi-split systems

One outdoor unit connected to two or more indoor units, so different rooms can heat or cool independently without a row of outdoor condensers. See our multi-split systems page for how they suit townhouses and larger homes.

Bulkhead air conditioning

A low-profile indoor unit hidden behind a bulkhead with supply outlets, popular in apartments and renovations where a wall-hung split is not ideal. Read more on bulkhead air conditioning Melbourne and apartment installations.

Ducted reverse cycle (including systems over 25 kW)

Whole-of-home or larger-premises heating and cooling through ducts and outlets, with an outdoor unit and an indoor fan coil in the roof space or under the floor. We install residential and commercial ducted reverse cycle, including systems over 25 kW where the building load needs it. Many Melbourne homes use this path when replacing ageing gas ducted heating under VEU. See ducted reverse cycle and our ducted heating Melbourne guide for gas-to-electric upgrades.

VRF and larger commercial or multi systems

EZYAIR also works with VRF (variable refrigerant flow) and larger commercial or residential ducted and multi systems over 25 kW. These suit bigger homes, multi-level buildings, apartments and commercial sites where one outdoor plant serves many indoor units with individual zone control. Our RAC01-licensed technicians are qualified for VRF and high-capacity refrigerated systems. Ask us about VRF options such as Midea VRF in Melbourne, or discuss a larger ducted or multi-split design for your site. See who we already work with on Our Clients.

Service and maintenance

After installation, regular service keeps reverse cycle systems efficient and reliable through Melbourne summers and winters. We maintain split, multi-split, bulkhead, ducted refrigerated and larger commercial systems. For what a service visit covers and how to book, visit our air conditioning service and maintenance overview, or go straight to split system maintenance, multi-split maintenance or ducted maintenance.

How we work with homeowners, builders and commercial clients

Most of our work is for everyday Melbourne households, builders on new homes and renovations, and commercial clients who need reliable design and install at scale.

  1. Talk through your property - rooms, comfort goals, existing heating or cooling, and whether a VEU upgrade may apply.
  2. Recommend the right system - split, multi-split, bulkhead, ducted reverse cycle, VRF or a larger system over 25 kW, sized for your heat load.
  3. Confirm VEU eligibility - as accredited provider A2261 we check the program rules and show any discount on your quote.
  4. Install and hand over - neat install, clear controls walkthrough, then ongoing maintenance when you need it.
